ABOUT
After 7 years of doing stand-up comedy in the San Francisco Bay area, Krista Fatka packed her bags to make a go of it in LA. Immediately after, the pandemic hit. Ooops!
In an effort to find her funny bone outside of the dreaded Zoom comedy shows, Krista turned to filmmaking with her partner Jude Harris. Krista wrote and starred in the short film Gay Haircut, which premiered at SXSW in 2022 and had a robust festival run. Their second film, Funny Face, is an autobiographical tale in which the actors play themselves- this too will debut at SXSW in 2023. Krista pitched her half hour sitcom, Gold Star Baby, to an industry panel in front of a live audience at Pitch-A-Thon/Series Fest in 2022.
When she's not creating such personal creative work, Krista writes for brands including Disney, Tile, and Credit Karma. Among her favorite comedy moments- opening for Tig Notaro and playing the role of Troll Wife in a Realtor.com ad.
